Mike Sherwood’s practice encompasses a wide variety of legal issues, focusing primarily on civil litigation and matters of criminal and family law. His belief is that successful advocacy for his clients starts day one, by building strong relationships based on trust and honest communication that lasts throughout the legal process. His range of litigation experience includes misdemeanor and felony law, personal injury, wrongful death, family law, and numerous mediations in both state and tribal venues.
Prior to attending law school, Mike was hard at work gathering legal knowledge and experience for what he always knew would be his career. After graduating with degrees in History, Russian, and Criminology from the University of Montana, and interning for United States Probation and Parole, Mike put his knowledge to practical use by working for the Missoula correctional system as both a case manager and misdemeanor probation officer. This experience has proven invaluable not only for navigating through the complex legal issues that arise during litigation, but in understanding the personal needs of his clients before and after the process as well. Through his background Mike has developed extensive personal and professional relationships with numerous state and local agencies, and prides himself on his ability to reach favorable outcomes for his clients through mutual respect and dedication. The work ethic and competitive nature that have brought him success in his personal life are tools he implements daily in the vigorous representation of his clients.
