The firm is proud to announce the addition of Mike Sherwood as our newest Associate Attorney.  Sherwood’s practice will focus on general civil litigation, and he will also use his criminal justice background to advise the firm’s clients on criminal matters. Sherwood brings a tenacious work ethic and strong commitment to client advocacy that will serve the firm’s clients well.

Sherwood earned his law degree from the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana.  During his time as a law student, he was elected President of the Criminal Law Group and earned a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.  Sherwood served as a law clerk for the Honorable Raymond J. Dayton in Montana’s Third Judicial District, and also interned for a Missoula based law firm where he focused on criminal law matters and had the opportunity to assist on high-profile felony cases.

Prior to law school, Sherwood earned a B.A. in History, Russian, and Criminology from the University of Montana.  He interned with United States Probation and Parole, and spent several years working for the Missoula correctional system as both a case manager and misdemeanor probation officer.  Sherwood has lived abroad in Russia, Ireland, and New Zealand, and has crossed more than twenty other international borders.  A native Montanan, he spends his free time fishing, camping, hiking, skiing, and just generally enjoying the great outdoors with his two dogs.
